샬롬. 예수 안에서 형제, 자매로 맺어진 지체 여러분께 문안 인사 드립니다. 캐나다연합교회 무지개 연대(Korean Rainbow United: KRU)는 캐나다연합교회(The United Church of Canada: The UCC)의 퀴어긍정 사역(Affirming Ministries: 어퍼밍 미니스트리) 자료집인 <열린 마음 Open Hearts>을 국문으로 번역하고 발행/배포합니다.
퀴어긍정 사역의 출발점은 젠더와 섹슈얼리티를 둘러싼 논점들이지만 궁극적으로는 우리 모두의 다양성을 기뻐하고 환대와 사랑, 정의를 구현하고자 하는 운동입니다. 이러한 지향의 구체적인 실천을 돕기 위하여 <열린 마음>은 교회와 사회에서 일어나는 인종주의, 비장애, 문화, 계층, 나이, 성별 정체성, 성적 지향 등에 근거한 각종 배제와 차별에 대항하는 데에 필요한 정보와 자료를 제공합니다.
퀴어긍정 사역 절차는 어펌 유나이티드(Affirm United/ S’affirmer Ensemble)에 의해 만들어지고 캐나다연합교회의 총회(General Council)에 의해 승인되었습니다. 이번에 번역된 <열린 마음>은 2020년도 4월에 개정된 판본으로 다음의 링크를 통해 원본을 확인하실 수 있습니다.

Greetings!
We announce that the Korean translation of Open Hearts is now released in this harvest season. The translation project started from a late-night conversation with Rev. Bo-ra Lim through Zoom during the pandemic. Rev. Lim shared her hope and aspirations to have Open Hearts in the Korean language to support LGBTQIA+ activism in South Korea, and this translation project prompted the organization of Korean Rainbow United back in 2020. Hence, Open Hearts’ Korean translation is dedicated to the late Rev. Bo-ra Lim in memory of her life and work.
We hope and pray that this translation empowers the LGBTQIA+ communities in South Korea and helps the Korean-speaking communities in Canada and beyond better understand affirming ministries in the United Church of Canada.
